Review: Skin Food Royal Honey Toner

I purchased this to use as my main toner before I knew what the Wonder Pore Freshner was. After I figured out that the Freshner was a toner, I opted to make this my day toner and the Freshner a night toner.

This toner does exactly what it advertises. It's very hydrating and it makes the face feel wonderful after use. I could put this toner on every morning and nothing else and I would be content. My skin just feels fantastic. It smells a lot like honey and I found that the scent overpowers the other products I use on my face, while still being a mild scent. It's a bit thicker than water, almost like a soft gel. It's one of my favorite products.

*.. SCORE ..*

4.5/5
Only a 4.5 because it overpowers everything else.

Review: Etude House Wonder Pore Freshner

I think I purchased just about everything on the Wonder Pore line because my pores are so outrageous. I didn't even know what this was when I purchased it but I'm very glad I did. I use this as my night routine toner.

*.. DESCRIPTION ..*

*.. OVERALL IMPRESSION ..*

This product reminds me a lot of the liquid used in ProActiv treatments, just a little less chemical. I was going to swatch it, but it looks exactly like water so I figured there was no point. There is a faint clean smell to it, which is good because I would have thought it was water otherwise. The bottle is very weird. You have to put the cotton ball on this little bowl shaped pump and pump the toner into it. I've been using my hands lately though because I feel like not enough gets on the cotton ball. There's a little glove you can purchase that you're supposed to use with it, and I think I'm going to get that to make it a little more sanitary on my face. After drying my face, I put this toner on and for a second it feels like I just washed my face again. However, once it begins to dry, it feels a little fresher than a face wash. I use a Skin Food toner as my morning toner because it's thicker and moisturizes a little, but this product cleans while it preps your face for more product.

Pros

-Very light toner, doesn't feel like anything is there!
-Leaves face feeling very clean

Cons

-Smells medical
-Doesn't leave face feeling "toned," just washed.

*.. SCORE ..*

4/5
I really like this toner as a night toner, but I don't think it works as well as my other toner. Since I started using it in combination with the foaming cleanser though, my pores have been smaller.

Review: Etude House Wonder Pore Whipping Foaming Cleanser

*.. DESCRIPTION ..*

*.. OVERALL IMPRESSION ..*

I only have one foaming cleanser to compare this to, and that's only because I love this one so much. It's very light compared to the other one I tried, which I'll review later one. The closest thing I can compare this to is a lighter shaving cream that cleanses. It also is supposed to minimize your pores, which it seems like it's doing. I've been using this for almost two months and I just purchased the freshener from the same line, but my pores do seem much smaller. There's not much of a scent either, which I prefer for the products I use in the beginning of my routine. It's just a clean smelling scent, but its mild. I use my hands to wash my face, but I'm going to try to start using the brush. I feel like that might be a little more sanitary and it would get a deeper clean.

Pros

-Very light foaming cleanser
-Feels very clean after rinsing
-Rinses super fast compared to the other 2 foaming cleansers I use

Cons

-Leaves face feeling washed, like with regular soap (other cleansers leave face ridiculously soft after)

*.. SCORE ..*

5/5
I just purchased two more bottles, which will last for so long. It's just that good.

Review: Kose Softymo Deep Cleansing Oil

So all the guides I read for making my skin so gorgeous begin with deep cleansing oil. I was very hesitant to use oil on my face because I am very prone to break outs.

*.. DESCRIPTION ..*

Kose Softymo Deep Cleansing Oil blends Orange oil and Oryza Sativa (Rice) Bran oil to dissolve makeup and remove impurities in pores. Cuticle-clear ingredient helps to remove dead cuticles, leaving skin purified and refreshed. How to use it: Apply to dry face and hands. Massage gently over face. After it is emulsified, rinse off thoroughly. Country of origin Japan, suitable for all skin type.

*.. OVERALL IMPRESSION ..*

I was wholeheartedly expecting I'd wind up not using this at all. The idea of putting oil on my face in any form makes me cringe because of how susceptible I am to breaking out. However, I have not yet broken out from using oil cleanser. It seems to work very well as a deep cleanser. I haven't yet tried it with makeup on since I very rarely wear it, but my face has managed to stay clean.

*.. SCORE ..*

4.5/5
I'm going to move on to other oil cleansers to see which is the most effective.

Review: Etude House Kissful Lip Care #01 Peach

So I have a terrible habit that causes me to tear my lips apart. I've never been able to find a solution to this awful picking problem. Every balm, gloss or scrub has made the issue worse and I finally gave up on trying new things and settled in with my habit. I found my way into Korean skin care products and was shopping around on RoseRoseShop when I found this adorable peach lip balm from Etude House.

*.. DESCRIPTION ..*

*.. OVERALL IMPRESSION ..*

If you couldn't tell from the intro to this post, I'm absolutely in love with this!! My biggest issue with lip products is the effect they have on my lips when it wears off. I hate my lips being dried out and I constantly have to reapply a product to keep it moisturized, but if I use too much of a product, it builds up on my mouth. That is not the case I experienced with this!! When it wore off, it wore off but my lips were not dry. I could also apply this several times and it was still light and didn't feel like I had too much on. There are several different flavor options, but I'm mad about peaches so I chose the peach flavor. I have found my lips are less chapped and much fuller and firmer after using this product. It works much better than anything I have ever tried.

Pros

-No coloring
-Wonderful peach scent
-Worked immediately!
-Not only healed my chapped lips, made them smoother and fuller

Cons

-None!!

*.. SCORE ..*

5/5!
After using it for about 2 weeks, I purchased 3 more sticks!
