Review: Etude House Moistfull Collagen Sleeping Pack

My first attempt with a sleeping pack.... Wasn't a great experience.

This was one of the first products I purchased for skin care. Not knowing anything, I bought it because it was available for Prime shipping on Amazon, and it was Korean. I believe this product is for dry skin, and not oily skin like I have. It's so thick and sticky when you put it on your face, I had to sleep on a towel so I wouldn't ruin my pillowcase. My face felt sort of wet and heavy the following morning and it was still sticky on my face, which was awful. I could feel my skin get oilier after using the product so I stopped in order to avoid a breakout. It was very nice scented though, sort of a mild floral scent. It just literally felt like I rubbed hair conditioner on my face.

-Not for oily skin

-Left sticky residue

Review: Skin Food Fresh Apple Sparkling Pore Emulsion

This product was the first emulsion I've tried and I have no reason to use another!

I never knew exactly what the purpose of emulsion was before I started using Korean products. I just got a bunch of samples and started trying them all out. This feels very slick, like a thin gel. It smells absolutely wonderful, like apple. I'm acne prone, so I'm usually pretty cautious around scented products, but this one is absolutely perfect. Because my skin is so prone to acne, I don't use any moisturizer at all. This product is exceptional because it moisturizes very lightly. Once it's on my face, I can't feel it one bit, which is huge to me. I hate feeling product residue on my face. It's very light and a nice scent that doesn't linger. I'm not sure if it does anything to my pores, but it definitely keeps my face feeling soft.

Review: Tony Moly Aqua Aura Serum

When I first squeezed the serum out, I was rather surprised. It was very similar to watered down lotion. There's not too much of a smell, which I like for my sensitive skin. I used this during my morning routine, but I found that my face ended up being very sticky all day. That's not something I want my face to be during the day. This serum is supposed to keep your skin moist all day, which may be where the stickiness comes from. I live in a swamp, so it's already sticky weather nearly all the time. 

Pros

-No smell

-Moisturizing (for those who need it)

-Does what it advertises

-Made my face sticky

Review: Lioele All Night Moisture Lip Essence (Treatment)

I purchased this product in hopes that it would help with my lip picking issues. It didn't.

I don't have too much to say about this product. I used it a few times and it actually made my lips feel worse so I had to stop. It smells like Vaseline and feels just about as thick. It feels like that cheap lip gloss all of our moms bought us from the dollar store so we would have "make up." It has no discernible scent. If you want chapped lips, this products works almost instantly. It's so thick I could probably have chewed it off.

Pros

-Absolutely nothing

Cons

-Very thick

-I put a small coat on because of the thickness and it spread over my face during the night and made me break out.

-Made my lips even more chapped

-Just feels cheap and gross

This is one of my favorite products!! My skin is usually a bit tight after I use my toner and it typically feels a bit dry. This essence goes on and it's like a refreshing glass of water on a hot day. It smells wonderfully like a granny smith apple. It's got a gel/lotion texture that I absolutely love. I'm not sure I'd be particularly clear if I said it makes my skin feel new, but it does. I have it on at the moment and if you rub your hand on my cheek, it's completely soft and smooth. It does make my skin feel a bit dry, but after I add my emulsion, it's okay. I would suggest following up with an emulsion or moisturizer. That being said, I'm really glad it's not sticky like another essence I've tried (can't recall the name!). I was worried about the size of the product, since the bottle is quite small, but only 2 pumps are needed to cover my whole face and the bottle has lasted me a while.

Pros

-Smooths skin quite a bit

-Easy to get out of the bottle (pump)

-Not sticky

-Smells fabulous!

Cons

-Leaves skin a bit dry

-Apple scent is strong for those who don't like strong scents (I like strong scents)

-I didn't really notice any "cares of dead skin" happening, but it may be because I wash regularly and this product comes in the middle of my routine.

I purchased samples of this because if I even forget a day of my skincare routine, my skin breaks out pretty bad, particularly on my chin.

I typically wait a few weeks before I'm comfortable with reviewing a new product, however I've only used this for 10 days. I saw results immediately. As someone plagued with acne growing up, I learned that acne does not clear up right away. No matter how much you want it to, it doesn't clear up within a couple of days. However, this cleansing foam cleared up my trouble area the same day. I washed my face in the morning and by the time I went to do my night routine, I had no more blemishes. It's a light foam, but not as light as Wonder Pore. It does take a bit of effort to wash off completely if you're used to foams like Wonder Pore. There's not much of a smell. It smells lightly like hand soap. It works so well, I immediately purchased a full size. 

Pros

-Definitely takes care of problem spots

-Makes skin soft

-Cleanses pretty well

Cons

-I like scented products and this has none

-Takes longer than I'd like to rinse off

I have the absolute worst hair. My mother has gorgeous thick, straight black hair like a lot of other Filipinas. My father has bushy, frizzy hair that grows out instead of down. Guess who's hair I got? My hair takes quite a lot of effort for it to behave the way I'd like it to. Not to mention I have no idea how to work a blow dryer. I shower at night so I have time to air dry my hair and I straighten it the next day. It's awful. I have spent thousands of dollars trying to find products that make my hair behave.

YES YES YES!! Everything in the description is 100% correct! This is one of the best products I have ever used in my hair. I still air dry it, but it dries smooth and shiny. It feels like what would happen if you didn't wash any conditioner out of your hair, only it doesn't get really gross. The one complaint I have about this product, is that you have to leave it in for a few minutes and then wash it out after. That's all I got. Everything about this product is magic sorcery. It even smells really good and the smell lasts for most of the day. It feels a lot like lotion or conditioner when you touch it and it feels like a very thick conditioner when you wash it out. I'm going to use this product for a really long time, I just love it.

Pros

-Smells AMAZING

-Makes my hair very silky and tame

-Lots of product in the jar, lasts a while

Cons

-Takes 5 minutes and then you have to rinse it... I'm lazy :P

I really really want to love this product. I used it religiously, both as a night moisturizer followed by a sleeping pack and also without the sleeping pack. Even without the sleeping pack, it made my face ridiculously sticky. It was very uncomfortable to sleep with. I'm slightly susceptible to breaking out, and this product did make me break out when I used it, mostly on my chin. I didn't see any of the effects described in the description other than the stickiness. I was definitely not happy with this product and I'm pretty upset about it. I want to love it so much.

Pros

-Smells really, really good

-It would be a great product for those without problem skin

Cons

-Too sticky

-Made me break out pretty badly

-Didn't get any of the results advertised.

Review: Skin Food Royal Honey Toner

I purchased this to use as my main toner before I knew what the Wonder Pore Freshner was. After I figured out that the Freshner was a toner, I opted to make this my day toner and the Freshner a night toner.

This toner does exactly what it advertises. It's very hydrating and it makes the face feel wonderful after use. I could put this toner on every morning and nothing else and I would be content. My skin just feels fantastic. It smells a lot like honey and I found that the scent overpowers the other products I use on my face, while still being a mild scent. It's a bit thicker than water, almost like a soft gel. It's one of my favorite products.

I think I purchased just about everything on the Wonder Pore line because my pores are so outrageous. I didn't even know what this was when I purchased it but I'm very glad I did. I use this as my night routine toner.

This product reminds me a lot of the liquid used in ProActiv treatments, just a little less chemical. I was going to swatch it, but it looks exactly like water so I figured there was no point. There is a faint clean smell to it, which is good because I would have thought it was water otherwise. The bottle is very weird. You have to put the cotton ball on this little bowl shaped pump and pump the toner into it. I've been using my hands lately though because I feel like not enough gets on the cotton ball. There's a little glove you can purchase that you're supposed to use with it, and I think I'm going to get that to make it a little more sanitary on my face. After drying my face, I put this toner on and for a second it feels like I just washed my face again. However, once it begins to dry, it feels a little fresher than a face wash. I use a Skin Food toner as my morning toner because it's thicker and moisturizes a little, but this product cleans while it preps your face for more product.

Pros

-Very light toner, doesn't feel like anything is there!

-Leaves face feeling very clean

-Smells medical

-Doesn't leave face feeling "toned," just washed.

I only have one foaming cleanser to compare this to, and that's only because I love this one so much. It's very light compared to the other one I tried, which I'll review later one. The closest thing I can compare this to is a lighter shaving cream that cleanses. It also is supposed to minimize your pores, which it seems like it's doing. I've been using this for almost two months and I just purchased the freshener from the same line, but my pores do seem much smaller. There's not much of a scent either, which I prefer for the products I use in the beginning of my routine. It's just a clean smelling scent, but its mild. I use my hands to wash my face, but I'm going to try to start using the brush. I feel like that might be a little more sanitary and it would get a deeper clean.

Pros

-Very light foaming cleanser

-Feels very clean after rinsing

-Rinses super fast compared to the other 2 foaming cleansers I use

-Leaves face feeling washed, like with regular soap (other cleansers leave face ridiculously soft after)
